PROJECT SYNOPSIS

The development of Angkasapuri narrates the history of Radio Telecommunication in Malaysia since 1921, ever since the first radio was set into the country by electrical engineer A.L.Birch. Radio services further varved another milestone when Wisma Angkasapuri was built in 1968, marking the merge of Radio Malaysia and Television Malaysia under a single building, with the rebrand of Radio Television Malaysia (RTM). RTM and angkasapuri underwent constant expansion  from 1969 to 2012. It launched Malaysia into a new technological era with its technology, and also led the nation into a new era post-independence with its architecture, stripping away from any influence from the older British influences of straits eclectic and establishing a new uniformity and language. Up until today, the expansion and growth of Angkasapuri and RTM has carried on with the commencement of a new proposal- Media City Project.
