

Background
Sultan Idris Shah Polytechnic (PSIS) formerly known as Sabak Bernam Polytechnic (PSB) is the 17 established by the Malaysian Ministry of Education. PSB started operating on 16 May 2003. The campus is located at Sungai Lang, Sungai Air Tawar, Sabak Bernam, Selangor with a land area of 99.4 acres and equipped with various suitable infrastructure as a higher education center. On 1 December 2005, PSB was inaugurated by DYMM Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj and was given the official name new, Sultan Idris Shah Polytechnic (PSIS). The establishment of PSIS is in line with the government's policy to produce more children many quality semi-professional workers to meet the needs of the public and private sectors.
