Merlimau Polytechnic is the 14th polytechnic established by the Malaysian Ministry of Education. It is located in Jasin district, 2 km from Merlimau town, 24 km from Melaka city and 19 km from Jasin city. The Polytechnic began operations on November 17, 2002, and has started taking pilot students in the second session of 2002 which is December 23, 2002. The Polytechnic has maximum capacity a total of 5060 students. Now PMM is fully operational and has become one of the important nuclei for Merlimau. Merlimau Polytechnic itself since its establishment in 2002 until now has produced 21,580 graduates who are able to produce marketability.
