Background

Kolej Laila Taib was established on 1st March 2010 when Kolej Bersatu Sarawak was renamed as Kolej Laila Taib in honour of Datuk Patinggi Dr. Hajjah Laila Taib for her selfless dedication and philanthropic commitments to the generations of Sarawakians during her lifetime. Kolej Bersatu Sarawak was chosen to carry on Datuk Patinggi's legacy due to its unprecedented academic records and achievements which it had achieved throughout its 13 years history prior to being renamed as Kolej Laila Taib. Kolej Laila Taib's main objective is to ensure that the legacy left behind through Datuk Patinggi Dr. Hajjah Laila Taib's selfless dedication and philanthropic commitments to the generations of Sarawakians during her lifetime is continued.Kolej Laila Taib believes in a vision that everyone deserves an opportunity to pursue their hopes and dreams, irrespective of their social, racial or economic background. Allowing such unprecedented access to education through a "Zero Programme Fee" concept shows that Kolej Laila Taib is all about caring for the community and MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE.
